New Operating Room Construction Completed!

Renovations, Updates

April 10, 2013

2013: We are delighted to report that do to the generous donation of a wonderful benefactor we have been able to complete the  construction of a new Operating Room which is adjacent to the current one. Additionally, we have upgraded the instrument sanitation room, added two indoor water working toilets and a meeting room for the nurses and doctors.

Along with these upgrades we were also able to add new equipment including overhead OR lights for both operating rooms, a new anesthesia machine with ventilator and monitor, automatic external defibrillator, operating table and sundry other tables, floor lights and IV poles.  The OR light we were using in the old operating  room was a 150 watt flood hanging from a cord. These items were purchased in India.

Our wonderful Administrator Mr. Jay worked tirelessly to complete these projects all in an effort to create cleaner, more pleasant and efficient working areas for the doctors, nurses, assistants and most importantly the patients.  We are all so thankful for these wonderful upgrades and additional capacity.  With the addition of the new OR we were able to bring another US doctor and one more anesthesiologist to this years camp. With these extra hands and capacity we were able to set new records for servicing the sick and poor of India.
